The Transversal Program is complementary to the Lifelong Learning 2007-2013. The former is based on objectives of the entire lifelong learning process and not on a single sector of education and training. It is like a bridge over 4 pillars: Comenius, Erasmus, Leonardo and Grundtvig; it connects and completes in order to contribute to the achievement of the political goals of the Lifelong Learning Program.



Its two specific objectives:

1) promote European cooperation in fields pertaining two or more sectorial programs

2) promote quality and transparency of education and training systems in MemberStates

The Transversal Program is structured into 4 key activities and it is fully managed by the European Commission by the Executive Agency.

Key activity 3: New Technologies
Key activity 4: Dissemination and utilization of results
